How to Fix SONY VAIO Wireless issues

A number of vulnerabilities have been found in Wi-Fi Protected Access 2*. WPA-2 is a radio LAN (Wi-Fi) communicating standard. Among other effects, these vulnerabilities may allow attackers to a target encrypted information transmitted across wifi networks.

Affected Models
All models of sony-vaio built with wireless LAN compatible with the WPA 2 communication standard.
Work Around
By upgrading the Windows OS (* 1) using Windows Update, you can prevent the result of this vulnerability whilst the OS is still running.
Please take out one of these following as a work around when the OS is not running.
- Disable Wake-on-Wi-Fi (* 2) function.
- Disable sleep style.
- Don't use wireless LAN (wi fi ). Use a wired LAN connection.
Wake-on-Wi-Fi (* 2) Confirmation and Directions for Setup
Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter configurations > Right-click Wireless network link and choose Properties) > Click the Configuration button > Go to Power source management tab
When the"Allow the device to wake up the computer" option is grayed out, the Wake-on-Wi-Fi (* 2) function is disabled.
In case the "Allow this device to wake the computer" option is checked, you are able to disable the Wake-on-Wi-Fi (* 2) function by unchecking it.
